We stopped in to have lunch.. The fried pickles were amazing and the CFS was divine.. Cute little quaint place. It was a little warm but hey, it's August in Texas. We definitely will be back
We was there last night having dinner. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was dry so I asked for some butter sauce and they brought be a container of butter. The fish was suppose to be topped with herb garlic butter sauce and it wasn't. The manager on duty said it was cooked in the butter sauce which I know it wasn't. The 2nd time they brought be some cucumber dill sauce that was cold. That don't go with fish for sure. Yesterday, May 11, 2016, Paula Bellomy Wilkes, James A. Bellomy, CR Bellomy (Bill's sister, brother & Dad, respectively) and I took my husband, Bill Pounds to Gracie's (The Grace Miller) Restaurant on Pine Street in downtown Bastrop, Texas for their much touted chicken fried steak & gravy for his birthday lunch. Totally AAAAWESOME chicken fried steak, 2 meals for the price of 1 (I always get a take out box). Fantastic hamburgers. Gonna try the Charlotte (thier version of frito pie). Good food and great service that is priced right. (A little hard finding a parking space during the weekends. OH YES! LIVE MUSICAL TOO.
