Very Rude I came in twice to look for an veil, the first time to try them on and the second time to make a final decision. The second time I came in, the saleswoman actually argued with me about what veil she thought I said I liked the first time. I wasn't about to let her convince me to buy a veil I didn't like, and when I stood my ground and did not agree with her, she rolled her eyes at me and walked out of the room in a huff! RUDE RUDE RUDE Gowns by Design was the second store I went to when looking for my dress. Although I made an appointment, the woman seemed too busy to help and basically sat at her desk until I told her I NEEDED her help to get dresses off the rack. She was not very helpful in suggesting dresses and made rude comments to both my mother and myself. I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day or if because I am younger (24) that she did not take me seriously, but Gowns by Design is NOT a place I would suggest anyone shop at.

Best Bridal Salon in Central PA!!! I love love love this place! The staff is extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. All tailoring is done on site by one of the owners and she is amazing with altering your gown to look just perfect. They have a lot of selection and are happy to special order gowns as well. I loved them for wedding gowns but I do have to admit the bridesmaid dresses were pricier than I wanted to pay. We did go elsewhere for those. Very Helpful and Reasonably Priced!!! I just purchased my wedding gown from them 2 weeks ago. You should make an appointment, just like any bridal shop, but they are busy on Sat. I had individualized attention and you can tell that they truly love what they do. All the girls in the shop were helping me pick the perfect dress even though they were busy also. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable This bridal shop is the most helpful and friendly shop we visited. The dresses are not just like all the rest, so are not the ususal $99 dresses. They are all knowledgeable about fabric as well as alterations. We would and have recommended this shop to friends. We had attendants from 3 states and all were treated well with several appointments being necessary. Give this one a try, the atmosphere is beautiful also.

Rude and PRICEY I am a young (22) bride, I went here.. and basically wasn't offered much help at all. I guess they thought I was just a joke. They hardly said 2 words to me. I just got married, so I was serious about looking for a dress. I didn't see any moderate priced dresses. If your young or on a budget, I wouldn't recommend!

extremely pricey bridal store Gowns by Design is an extremely pricey bridal store. The gowns are pretty and their shop is nice, but I think their prices are out of line. The shop is an old house that has been converted. They have a lot of gowns, but they are pretty packed into the store. The dressing rooms are very large and nice. Most gowns seem to be around $2,000. They also have bridal accessories and bridesmaids gowns. I thought the employees were pretty cold and none too friendly.
