I have never felt so bad about myself The gowns were adequately normal at best. The sales lady that day, Bobby or something, was one of the worst people i have ever met. she was flat out awful. she told me i was obese ( im a 6), she was rude and argumentative with my mother and friend, told me i was probably too poor to afford anything, kept telling me my choices were bad, wouldn't let me try anything on more than once, and much more. i can't believe anyone would buy anything from this lady. at this rate they will be out of ... read more
terrible! I was very unhappy with gowns by design. I made an appt and as soon as I walked in, the lady was very uninterested in me. Acted like we were wasting her time. Went over the designers and such but was very unfriendly. She did not acknowledge my mother or aunt and seemed completely annoyed that they wanted to see the dresses on me. VERY RUDE!! I went looking for Wedding dresses this past weekend. The first place I went treated me with Red Carpet Service. The second place I went was Gowns By Design. We made an appointment ahead of time and we were approximately 10-15 minutes early. Immediately we got an attitude from the older lady at the counter. She did show us around the store and explain where each designer was. They offered zero help hooking the strapless bra (not an easy thing to do by yourself). Great! Super Cheap and beautiful classy dresses! The staff was really friendly and nice to us. All the dresses I tried on were really nice, and fit really well after some adjustments (I am an XS/ 0-2 in dresses and about 5'5, and most of the sizes there were average size 10 which was huge!). They always helped me to literally put stuff on and were willing to listen to me. I found my dresses for about $5500 which is way under what I was expecting to pay. excellent I went to Gowns by Design to just look at what they had to offer. When we came in with no appointment Bonnie told us we are lucky there was a cancellation and took us into the bridal room. She sat down with us asked about the date/ them and what I want in my dress. She walked us thru the shop and spent allot of time with us. She was very personable and made the experience fun. RUDE!!! I was in there looking for a prom dress, I'm 16 years old and in 11th grade, the youngest saleswoman wouldn't help me at first until my mom told her we needed help around the store. when i was trying gowns on she seemed very opinionated and in a hurry. Expensive, and rude rude rude employee I was in a few days ago to look at bridesmaid dresses. I called the store and the woman I talked to told me I could come in without an appointment to look. We were greeted by a perfectly nice woman. I looked around at the dresses downstairs (there were none less than $200) and asked the nice woman what was in the upstairs room. Good Choice for a Beautiful and Elegant Gown I am from Northern Virginia where the gowns are very pricey and not that great of material. I came to Gowns by Design to first look at dresses and found one I loved. I then took time to think about it and look at other bridal shops in DC and Virginia. I could not find Pronovias anywhere except at Gowns By Design. They have an excellent selection here. Great Selection and Accessories! This was the second bridal salon that I visited on my hunt for the THE dress, and I found it. My mom, three aunts and I made an appointment in the evening and it was wonderful because we had a lot of privacy and we practically had the store to ourselves. The associate that helped us was "Debbie" and she was wonderful. She was kind, understanding and VERY knowledgable.
