Very helpful & courteous I needed help replacing a headlight that was impossible to access. I called after work & they said to come down, they could replace it right away. The bulb cost me $10 and the service manager replaced it in minutes for free. Very friendly staff.
the worst customer service and wait time i was told it would take 30 mins. for a power steering flush. the next day, when i arrived, i was told the mechanic shows up according to the traffic conditions. The person told me on the phone that if i showed up at 0800, that they would get me "in and out". When i asked how long it would take for the mechanic to arrive, the front desk manager seemed irritated. i finally was able to get an estimation of 1/2 hr to an hr. from him. The worst place to buy parts from Well there i snothing much to say about this place, other than the fact that EVEN WITH a computer to aid them in getting the people that shop there the right parts to fix their cars, they somehow manage to mess that up. I was givin the wrong set of axles for my car three different times, I finally yanked the spline out and brought it in to the store so I could match it up there on their counter top.
this company is the pits I wanted to get some bearings and some brake pads on my car and they said wait would be 40 minutes so i wait and 1 hour later they say it will be another 30 minutes and then another delay for 20 mintes. Then the price they gave me went up without notice till it was done. And when I left (mad) i noticed the brakes were squeaking already so i went somewhere else and then I found out they didn't even change one of them. No Wonder this Company is Sinking! I've never received anything that even remotely passed for courtesy at any Pep Boys. But this one gets a gold star for going beyond simple rudeness to artful ignorance. Go there and you'll swear you don't exist. The workers must be independently wealthy because they don't seem to need their jobs. PROS: Location CONS: Oblivious to their customers.
It's Pep Boys! No surprise with the previous reviews. The only time I had a good experience with this repair shop is when they accidentaly stumbled upon a solution to our electrical system problem. It was a corroded connector. They didn't find that out though until they had done everything else under the sun to the car. Luckily, we were able to argue our way out of the bill. PROS: Not many. CONS: Just About Everything
Tires I called to see if they had a specific tire in stock and I waited about 10 min on the phone. He had stated that they didn't have that tire in stock. I called back later to see if they had a different brand in my tire size and the girl said that they only had the tire in one brand. Low and behold it was the tire that I called about. A Very Positive Experience Prompt, curteous service. I drove up from New Jersey and found one of my relatively new tires was half flat. A slow leak, I thought. I'll take it to PEP Boys, but I'll bet they'll just try and sell me a tire. In fact, on 4th of July weekend, they were open, found the problem to be a damaged stem and replaced it - no charge. Next time I do need tires, I'll go to the nearest PEP Boys near my home. They made a future customer of me. Thanks, Michael.
AVOID this Pep Boys Avoid this place. Service manager Butch Sasso demonstrates a stunning lack of automotive knowledge as well as a personality deficit rivaling that of the Grinch. Don't take your vehicle here unless you like overpaying and having your car shoddily repaired. And re-repaired.
