Goodman furnace catches FIRE! Goodman warranty is worthless. Goodman does not backup there product. Warranty claim not honored. Customer Support (Caroline ******) poor to non-existent. Many calls over the past 8 months...no results. Avoid this company. I purchased a Goodman Furnace 4 years ago, it caught fire in October 2019...Goodman case number *******. very poor customer service/ tech support, refused to transfer me to a tech support agent. had 1 question, instead the girl told me to hire a hvac tech and ask them and refused to escalate call to upper mgmt... piss poor phone service
i purchased a heating and air conditioning unit from goodman in june 2013....it has worked ok for the past 7 years ,but this year it was not cooling when i turned it on...i sensed that it was out of freon so i called a tech...when he removed the fan on top of the unit he found that the compressor was not bolted to the base of the unit...it was sent that way from the factory and had been vibrating all this time which caused the copper line to crack at a joint...he was sure that the vibrating un bolted compressor was the reaso... read more
My Accumulator went out after 2 years of purchasing a new Goodman A/C unit. Goodman has replaced the faulty part but they said they will not cover the cost of labor (expected) and will also not cover the cost of the freon that was leaked out as a result of the faulty part! The 8lbs of freon is very expensive to replace and SHOULD be covered by Goodman for a part that SHOULD last 10-13 years without issue, but instead I'm stuck with the bill. The way this company does business is positively shameful. The compressor is shot and we have a leak in our unit that is 5 years and one month old. Just one month outside of the warranty date and Goodman is not willing to do anything to work with us. It's over 100 degrees where we live, and due to stay-at-home orders, we are currently stuck in a home with partial AC with multiple children and pets. I purchased a new Goodman unit in Sept 2018 happy that it had a 10 year warranty. 17 months into paying $1000s for a new unit my home was hot and I have an infant grandchild in my home in the Florida heat. I looked up my warranty and called a local company. They said they could use my warranty info and help with the repair but charged me $500 because they said the 17 months old unit is OUT of Freon. My unit's coil needs to be replaced. Goodman says I must buy an entirely new unit. Replacement coil is no longer available. Quit making the replacement coil one month before my 5 yr warranty expired. Goodman has made it IMPOSSIBLE TO REPAIR my 6 YEAR OLD unit! Ordered two units at the same time - shipped two units. I installed. No mention that they were different model number ALTHOUGH SAME SPECS! TOO BAD FOR ME,! They knew the coil would fail. That's why they stopped making it, forcing consumers to buy an entirely new unit. ... read more

I replaced my AC unit with a Goodman in February 2019. In August 2019, the compressor went out.
