For those New Yorkers who yearn for a taste of Vermont without leaving the city, Good Enough To Eat satisfies with down home decor and simple comfort food. It is incredibly popular for brunch, with lines around the corner; however, the food is not really good enough to warrant such a long wait. The small space can also get crowded for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week.

I'll Return – What better recommendation than to say we'l go back...stumbled upon it after getting mad and leaving Popovers up the street -- a totally different experince -- great wait staff friendly fast but not rushed experience with delicious breakfast.
best brunch on the UWS!! – As a resident of the UWS, I can tell you it's hard to find good inexpensive food up here - so Good Enough To Eat is a rare find. Everything is fresh and home made, the prices are very reasonable for this area, the portions are huge, and the service is friendly. The Bloody Mary comes in an enormous milkshake glass, the pancakes are fluffy and perfect (with real maple syrup on the table!), the bacon and sausage are flavorful and high-quality - even the biscuits are awesome, and they come with fresh s... read more
Not Good Enough to Eat – This was quite possibly the worst breakfast that I have ever tasted. The waffles were completely tasteless and the only difference between the flavors is the miniscule amount of toppings that they put on top. The honey mustard dressing on the mesclun salad made it impossible to finish...the only good thing that I tasted was the cranberry juice. Definitely not worth the amount of money that I shelled out for it.
One of the best – This place is one of my favorite brunch sites in the city. The place is cozy and the food is excellent (the chocolate chip pancakes, pumpkin french toast, and the bacon are all very good). I highly recommend this place.
Great Home Cooking! – I am sick of my local takE out Joint('s), and luckily I discover this. This is an Upper West Side staple: a great local restaurant for family and friends which delivers excellent home cooking. The decor is no different, but that's part of what makes it so comfortable. It is a little on the more expensive side (hamburgers start at $9), but its worth it since it does not burn a hole in your stomach; instead your stomach says "Thank you god." The meat is lean, and salads are fresh, and the fries are gooooo... read more
vermont? – Feels like Vemont. Dynamite Breakfast. Lots of wonderful choices. Never tried the dinner but it looks like a wonderful menu.
Terrific Brunch! – The food is phenomenal, I especially recommend the strawberry pancakes! My boyfriend prefers the Mexican scramble...we both enjoy this place tremendously. It's one of our favorite all time NYC brunch spots! We've never had a problem with the staff, or the space. Go for brunch, you'll like it!
