Amazing food and amazing people who work there. My family goes regularly there. The chicken fried steak breakfast is the best. I dont like it anywhere else.
I love the Goldmine! The food is excellent. The price is right. The service is just the BEST. We live in Mesquite and there are NO god breakfast places here unless you want Mexican food. Mexican food for breakfast is wonderful, but not every day. We have to drive in to Garland to the Goldmine or to Balch Springs to go to Lindys to get a good breakfast. It is worth it though.

Really disappointed. Took my family here tonight to try for the first time and had to walk out after sitting there for 15 minutes with no drinks, a couple walks in 10 mins after us and gets served with drinks and menus immediately (we were sharing one we found on the dirty table next to us) after another 15 minutes of sitting there, a waitress starts to take the other couples order while were still waiting. Then we decided to walk out. Really wantes that chicken fried steak :(
Great greasy spoon! Periodically might be closed by health department but I'm still alive and have been here a hundred times. If you positively have to eat a 5000 calorie meal, except no substitute!
It's a good restaurant for the entire family. Prices are reasonable price.
