Glassdoor is a very disingenuous and deceitful company. They prominently claim all over their site that employers cannot have reviews removed and act as if they are for the employee, then they turnaround and delete reviews that have already been approved whenever they feel like it if the review makes the company look bad in any way to ensure that they maximize their profits. I had an awful experience with GlassDoor. A colleague of mine wanted to post some information about their job without any identifying details. GlassDoor has a function that states it is "anonymous" when information is input into the system. In good faith they filled out the sections, and thought the information might help someone else looking for a similar job. Companies who make it impossible to reach them do not care about their clients. They're greedy for cash but won't hire a call center. They are a terrible model for companies. Never trust a company that does not prominently publish their phone number and email address.

I had a former employee who claimed to have her baby cut out of her in a Private Message, as well as sent threatening text messages to myself and staff, continually post horrendous reviews, making far reaching claims about me. All in all she posted over 6 posts. They removed two and told me the others fell in their "standards" in spite of providing the evidence to their "review team". Had a negative review from a cyber stalker. The company removed it but would not remove the 1 star. Then they asked me to sign up for their services. Seems like they may have done the cyber stalking in the first place!

Glassdoor is a disaster to small businesses. All businesses both large and small have bad hires. This site is an enabler of disgruntled or fired employees to post false, and defamatory statements under the protection of freedom of speech laws. Glassdoor does nothing when a firm has proof of defamatory statements and it does nothing when provided employer - employee contracts which provides the employer with non-defamatory statements. Glass Door claims to not remove negative employer reviews, however, they have recently removed 4 or 5 negative reviews regarding an employer, giving the appearance of no negative reviews in 2016, which is completely inaccurate.
