For the past 13+ years we've been coming up to Maine. Gilbert's is a must stop for us , no matter where we're staying. I love the wharf atmosphere, the friendly staff and delicious lobster meals. Best of all, they serve Allagash White on tap.
Jim Gilbert hired me at Dragon Cement Plant 20 years ago - he was great then and now this restaurant is great!!! �
I loved their all you can eat shrimp and excellent service
WeHad the seafood chowder,abundant in lobster ,clams shrimp ,scallops and a whole lot of yummy yummy a must if you ever visit Portland! And now let’s talk about the fried whole belly clams the lightest crispest most decadent batter ever to grace the presence of a whole belly clam! We will be back for sure!
Huge food proportions at low prices. You can smell the chowder as soon as you walk through the door, and everything tasted amazing!
