Gilardi’s Ristorante uses locally grown ingredients to serve classic Italian fare in a great setting. Antipasti specialties include Gazpacho and Crab Cakes. Its salmon preparations also taste wonderful.

Best service, and the food was absolutely amazing. Fantastic place.
A friend who really takes pleasure in great food and wine recommended this place as "wonderful" and he was exactly right. James is creative and offers a beautiful menu full of fresh (and freshly prepared) cuisine, much of which he grows. They have a really nice wine menu, as well. My salmon was cooked absolutely perfectly, and the flavors of the delicate sauce enhanced it in this simple and elegant dish. The tiramisu ended the meal on just the right note -- delicious and firm and not too sweet. Frank was a knowledgeable and ... read more
Recently, my Aunt Mary Ann asked me for a recommendation to the best restaurant in town for her 25th Wedding Anniversary. Thank you to Gilardi's for giving them exceptional service, delicious food and most importantly a great memory! She can't stop talking about the Tiramisu!!!
We were travelling through Springfield and googled Italian restaurants. We chose Gilardis. Wow, what a treat. Lamb shank was exceptional, pasta with tomato sauce was to die for, ravioli was wonderful. Tiramisu was best we have had. We will do it again. Frank waited our table and will be requested next time. James Martin is a green forerunner, growing 80% of the food used in his Gilardi Italian Restaurant, and watered by extensive rain barrel system collecting from that elegant Victorian roof on Walnut street. And by the way, the food was exquisite, ambiance lovely and presentation very nice. I plan to have my next party there. My favs were the polenta, which was the best I have found, and the hummus, which must have a secret ingredient, and probably from that front yard herb garden.
Love the creamy polenta and the meatballs seasoned with Sage from their sustainable garden. Can't wait to try out the outdoor patio.#ozarksfood_gilardis
This place is DELICIOUS!! I'll definitely be back. A must for those visiting Springfield. Classy & romantic. Perfect date location!
The Ristorante Gilardis Grey Gables is a wonderful building for special occasions. The owner, James, will share all of the history of the building as well as how he grows and serves herbs and vegetables in the yard and a city block nearby. He has a wonderful eco-friendly system for water conservation. The restaurant is small but elegant - a wonderful change from chain restaurants. The food was very good - the roasted red pepper hummas and the polenta were my favorites.
Gilardi's Ristorante has a 4.4 star rating with 722 reviews.
