Yesterday my son had eye surgery... and all the nurses here were awesome.. they were a huge help... recovery was hard on my son being 4 years old.. but the nurses were right there helping us calm our son down ...

Had surgery here on 10/25/16 to remove a small piece of metal in my foot. The nurses were all professional and super attentive and I cannot say enough good things about my surgeon, Dr Nicholas Benoit. Excellent doc and helluva nice guy.
What hospital tells a parent to wait for a half hour while the 16 month old child is visibly having a seizure?? Gifford Medical Center, that's who. This is not the first time I have been part of a obscene wait period while visiting the Emergency department at Gifford. For the time wasted at Gifford, I could have made it to UVM, or Dartmouth. Saddening.
My wife and I went to get her ear checked out because she was in severe pain. While she was in the emergency room, visibly crying in pain, they made her wait over an hour to be seen. Once the doctor did see her, he told us what we already expected and we were released five minutes later. For a five minute job, my wife shouldn't have waited over an hour in severe pain. They told us they were "supposedly caught up" but the wait time was incredibly awful. Many nurses and the doctor walked by her room as she was visibly crying. ... read more
