He never fully explained my scans and was in a rush to get to the next patient. The office staff was awful. They never returned any phone calls and took weeks to complete insurance forms that had a $25 fee.
He spends very little time with the patient and his nurse is terrible returning phone calls. How many times must a patient call with a problem before they receive a call in return???
Had hip replacement two years ago. Excellent advice from the Dr. And excellent recovery. Will be doing replacement on other hip soon and will go back to him without a doubt. Doctor can do so much, but you must do the rehab.
Spent negligible amount of time examining my broken leg and most of it making notes for billing purposes Didn’t even show me the x-ray, explain the condition or provide program of care Had to ask the nurse to show me the x-ray and the break and asked questions about weight bearing etc.
Absolutely terrible staff. tried to get price for appointment but they couldn't give me an answer. I said if I were to pay cash how much. No answer. had to verify ins. Gave ins info & said they would call back that day. No call back. I had to call next day for answer. Was transferred 6x. waited on hold for 45mins. Good thing I didn't break anything. (pun on words) that's why I was calling in 1St place. Back to scheduling, busy, they would call back. No call back. called again next appt 12/29.
Dr Shute performed a total left hip replacement after an accident. He was very conscientious, caring and suggested the best procedure to quickly get me back to work and my other activities. Being an athlete I was very concerned about being able to quickly return to my sport. I learned too after surgery from friends how hard and long he worked to insure the replacement kept both leg lengths equal.
