Nice dr. He listened to me
Appointment was at 3:00 but had to leave at 3:50 for another appointment. I had waited 50 minutes without being seen.
Very thorough and companionate.
Staff very friendly and nice. The PA ( Spanish Dr) who saw me was very thorough and explained what to do and was really concerned on how I was doing. Really like the staff.
Great doctor and courteous staff.
Dr Shute does not believe in freezing aka numbing you before prodding you with sharp objects. Therefore, it was the most painful experience possible and he missed the problem spot at that. He also missed that his staff does not respect HIPAA laws or a patients basic bill of rights to choose their own doctor. Hunter, his receptionist, forces patients to her counter as just numbers listening to nothing I said. I was not pleased with the services received from Dr. Shute. On our first encounter he evaluated me based on what his nurse told him my complaint was. He did not ask many questions to truly evaluate my complaint nor did he do a full hands on assessment. An x-ray was done but he did not thoroughly discuss the findings or give me a diagnosis. I was simply offered pain management. I requested diagnostic studies prior to simply settling for pain management. After falling off a ladder breaking my ankle and my tibia in several places and injuring my knee I was taken Port St Lucie Hospital handled with great care. I requested Coastal Orthopedics to come to my rescue. I know many Dr's there but they said there was only one doctor that could help me and that was Dr. Gerald Shute I was very nervous because there was so much damage. I have never had worse follow up after surgery. Unable to talk to Angie for reflls of pain medicines. I leave messages as it is impossible to talk to her. She has called back a few times but I would say less than 50% of the time. My wife has been in great pain because we could not get the prescriptions on time. We have to cut the pills in half to try to get through to when we can obtain a prescription.
