A taste of Old Des Moines. Just as good in 2018 as when I last lived here in 1996, and when my Dad ate there as a Drake student in the 50's.
I enjoyed the tenderloin very much. The bowl of chili reminded me of chili I grew up on in Boone, Iowa. After living in Texas for four decades, I now prefer a spicer chili. Later in the day we enjoyed coneys and the rings. Both products were very good
Been going to GCK for 40 years and I expect to still be going for a lot longer. No it's not the cleanest...get over it and just enjoy it!
Great chili! Friendly people. Not much room for big crowds.
Saw this place on triple D. We drove from Berlin wi. Best chili I ever had. Great burger and the waitress gave my son a stuffed animal when we left.
Great diner food and a great atmosphere. One of my go-to spots for a great burger or chili dog.
Chili is a classic and the tenderloin is awesome. Workers made us feel at home.
