An Erie Staple This place has been around since the 20s. The iconic red awning out front tells you you're about to experience something special. It's much larger inside than you'd think it would be. They serve good American-style food that probably hasn't changed much at all since the place opened. Cozy and inviting.
Best breakfast in Erie – George's Restaurant has cheap prices and excellent food! We frequent this place on the weekends when we want a great breakfast. Their portions are large and everything on the menu is delicious!
Expectations were just too high! Everyone carries on how wonderful Georges is so I couldn't wait to try it. They were known for their 'homemade' items and 'real' mashed potatoes.
George's Restaurant George's is one of those cozy homey restaurants. The atmosphere is pure Erie. Large blowups of vintage cartoons like Blondie & Dagwood and Frank & Ernest hang on the walls. I had the feeling that my mother might walk out of the kitchen at any moment and tell me to clean my plate.
