I have seen Dr. Aguiar for around 10 months for a shoulder impingement issue that became frozen shoulder at a later stage. Dr. Aguiar diagnosis was spot on from day one and it was confirmed by the x-rays and MRIs. He recommended surgery for frozen shoulder for me after the physical therapy didn't help. I was initially very hesitant, but Dr. Aguiar's explained everything very calmly and also gave me an option of trying more physical therapy if I was not sure. Arrogant, rude, misdiagnosed me and fat-shamed me by saying I need to "slim down." Females hear that more harshly than males, and there was absolutely no sensitivity or bedside manner whatsoever given. Office space was tiny, sterile, and a huge BMI chart was looming over my head as he bragged about his weight loss program. I went to Dr. Aguiar for a second opinion on a torn rotator cuff. I was very appreciative of the way he explained my options.
He was knowledgeable and caring and took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything to me
Dr Aguiar is to the point, professional, and clearly knowledgable.Despite my significant discomfort, he was gentle but thorough.He was confident in his evaluation and diagnosis, and complete in offering me the available options.He and his staff are wonderful and very helpful.I am beyond happy with the care and service I received.
I have been seeing Dr. Aguilar and his staff since October. In fact, I had total knee replacement in January. Dr. Aguilar is a top-notch orthopedic surgeon. I highly recommend him.
