I needed a total knee replacement. I was looking for a doctor that used the robotic arm and specialized in knees only. Dr. Aguiar fit the bill. I work in the fitness industry where he is known for stellar work with better than average results. Prior to the surgery, I met with his PA who gave me a list of “To Do” items , explained everything on the list and gave contacts and phone numbers where to get everything done ( pre op appt, bloodwork, CT scan, post surgery PT...) There is not an orthopedic surgeon that I would trust more than Dr. Aguiar. He explains everything you need to know in terms the lay person can understand and takes the time you need. You definitely feel included in the decisions.
I hesitate to say anything about Dr. Aguiar so as not to compete for his utterly outstanding miracle services once the word is out. But for the benefit of humanity, I will. :-) In short: Dr Aguiar and the staff at OrthoVirginia have made it possible for me to do anything physical I want, from triathlons (several full Ironman) to skiing to horseback riding to climbing mountains.
