We are looking for other care. We have had terrible experiences more than once.
I have loved the dentist we see, but I did not felt confident with the assistant at Stella's last appointment. He seemed extremely nervous and a very unsure of himself, which, in turn, caused me to be nervous about his abilities. Also, at this last appointment, there was a big water leak (and then it stopped working), and some tools seem to be out of date. Because of this, after we finish this last appointment, we are going to continue to search for another dentist for the girls.
The staff is so warm and friendly, there is a family feel in the office. Dr. Kovacs is the best, with my history of medial & dental issues since I was young and have seen several doctors over the years and dealt with a few ego's! This has been a difficult process and now creating my first permanent dentures after wearing temporary's for 2 1/2 years it is very emotional, I could not have come to a better place. My recent visit on 9/2 went fine, however, my appointment was originally scheduled for 8/26. On that date (8/26), my hygennist did not show up on time for my 8:00 AM appointment, and I elected to re-schedule rather than wait for her to arrive, and then try to fit in to her schedule that day. The receptionist who helped me promptly informed me of the situation, and offered me a $25 "gift card" for future services. I've had about seven dentists in the short time I've been with you guys and this definitely makes me want to look elsewhere. Your hygenists are great, but your reception area does not function professionally.
I had to chose another dentist because of a change in my insurance carrier. I was very disappointed with my experience at Gentle Dentristy. From the time Iade my appt. it felt like it was all about the money. In fact they called my carrier while I was waiting and asked what my maximum benefit amount was. In then received a call 4 hours later asking for my wife's birthday so they could submit their bill. I also thought the office was dated and equipment very used and worn. It didn't seem clean. My impression of Gentle Dentistry was one of professionalism and expert care. I couldn't have been happier and plan to make this dental clinic my permanent location for dental care.
