Eat your way through this menu and start at the beginning again because it is sooooooo good. Repeat as necessary, it will be often.
Always fantastic food. Always. It’s Xi’anese, and they don’t offer any “American Comfort” food, to quote the nearby (and excellent) Sichuan Garden menu, but if you want flavors like cilantro, chile, vinegar, Chinese chive, fermented mustard and rich, flavorful stock, coupled with perfectly chewy noodles and opulent dumplings, this place is for you. I believe it’s still cash only. Expect about $11-12 per person.

They’re now open Tues and Weds!! We try to come at least once every couple of weeks to this hidden gem, filling up on the springy and tangy hand-pulled noodles (so much wonderful garlic!) and spiced lamb skewers. It’s such a simple dish at only $6, and there really should be a cult following for it. The owner was there and I chatted with him a bit.
