Quite literally the only bar I go to and don't get annoyed. Al has managed to keep all the great atmosphere of this historic place while also making room for great new beers, local music (never a cover!) and new friends. All are welcome here. A community institution. I can take my kid for football and hotdogs on a Sunday afternoon, too.

Best of times, beer, hot dogs and good friends. No trip to Morgantown complete without an evening at Genes. Try going during WVU football games, more excitement then attending the game. Go eers.
Good food �good beer � live music � even better people Al, Lucy, Erica, Amanda, Tarik...what else is there to say. From skipping out of MHS school lunch to get a chili cheese roll to my college years at WVU and beyond... Salute to Gene's! Check it out you'll be glad you did.
My old stomping ground from 1998-2001 while at WVU. Always try to stop by when in town. Love it. Get the hotdog with slaw and a cheese plate.
Great local bar and place to hang out. Excellent customer service, affordable, and good food! They have shows a lot too which are always a blast.
