This Chicago landmark located in River North has been around since 1941 and is considered to be Chicago's oldest steakhouse. Like many places of its ilk, the dark mahogany paneling and white table cloths are de rigeur while the wait-staff wear ties and aprons. Fabulous service, delicious meal & beautiful ambiance.
Absolutely amazing food and service. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and enjoyed everything about our visit.
Stuffed mushrooms were not good. We ordered prime rib and it was simply okay. We were not offered a lunch menu- far too expensive for what you get.
We heard this was the place to go in Chicago. We were excited to try it while celebrating our anniversary. Unfortunately we were not at all impressed. The customer service wasn't the best. Felt like they were shuffling you in and shuffling you out. My husband and I both ordered steaks. The temperature on both our steaks were not what we asked for, but we ate them anyway. The taste was meh. No seasoning or anything...just a hunk of meat. We probably won't go back...lots of other delicious steak houses to choose from.
