If I could give them 0 stars I would. First off all they measured my daughter wrong. Two different people measured her and got different measurements but then ask the bride, a young woman which she wanted to go with. How could she know, she not the specialist. When the dress came the attendant spent a lot of time in the dressing room with her then went and got another person to ask help her. After 20 minutes they came out and my daughter had the dress on. I apologize that you had a negative experience with our store Camille. When it comes to the fit of a brides dress, we do have to go off of what the bride tells us feels good to her liking. We go off of what the bride says feels best on her body as every bride has a different preference of how she wants her dress to fit. Gateway Bridal has the worst customer service in the world. My friend purchased her wedding dress there and it came with cap sleeves instead of the sheer lace sleeves she'd ordered. Rather than apologize and order a new dress or fix the sleeves, they gave her a list of tailors who could alter it -- and offered just $60 to cover the alterations. They never apologized or admitted that they'd made a mistake. They simply told her it was "the right dress but the wrong sleeves." How is that the RIGHT DRESS? And why should you have... read more

I apologize that you had a negative experience with your friends wedding gown experience. We did order the correct dress, however it did come with the incorrect sleeve. We did cover the entire cost to fix the sleeve to make it correct for her. We do not do any alterations here in our store, we refer out for any and all alterations with every bride that comes into our store. I hope that your friend has a wonderful wedding day.

On Monday We called in to see if the dress had come in. They said it had. We had to call again Thursday to see if it was ready to try on and pick up. We went in Thursday and they ordered a dress with an entirely different sleeve. They told us we were the guinea pigs for a new sleeve and were excited to see it....... we didn't order that sleeve, and they had the dress from Monday to Thursday with the wrong sleeve and didn't let us know. Poor customer service is all that followed.

I apologize for your negative experience with our store Lindsey. We do strive to always give the best customer service and I apologize that you received less than our best. In regards to the dress with the incorrect sleeve, we did try to find the best solution to get this fixed for her and it did take a couple of days to get correspondence with our vendor. We have more than compensated the bride to correct that sleeve. I am sure she will look gorgeous on her wedding day.

Before I had decided to come to Gateway Bridal and prom I had tried out so many different wedding shops to the point where I became discouraged, frustrated and tired. BE WARNED!!! If you order a dress from Gateway Bridal, and they mess up your order, they will NOT fix it or make it right! I went and picked up my wedding dress, just to discover that the girls in the shop did not know how to measure, nor fix a major mistake once discovered. Because I have a short torso, I wanted the bodice of my dress shortened so that it would hit my waist at the correct spot. Took a little long for me to post a review due to the chaos of a wedding and moving... Claire was amazing to work with back in January. I was on a short time frame, as I was needing it for my wedding in March. Gateway Bridal was my first stop for a long afternoon of looking for a wedding dress from Salt Lake City to Ogden. Everything about getting my daughter's wedding dress was great. Brandi helped us on our first appointment and she was so helpful and friendly. The dress came in 2 months early. Claire helped us on the pickup appointment and she was great too. I couldn't ask for a better experience.
