I've just returned from my 1st trip (Dubai) with Gate 1 Travel and am already searching for my next --Egypt. Everything went very smooth and professionally. accommodations were nice and well located ( i will ask for an upgrade for next one tho) other members of our group stayed closer to downtown in a 5 star. Lynette was our tour guide for 2 days and she's WONDERFUL ! so knowledgeable and well spoken. she changed my mind on tour groups.
I have been on 5 trips with Gate one, all thru Europe and Italy...we had a great time on every trip, and met a lot of wonderful people... all our guides were so informative, kind and gracious.
For the first time did I book a trip via Gate 1 to Iceland for 5 days, 7 if you count travel to and from. The whole process was over the phone and I remember feeling overwhelmed at the end of that call but happy nonetheless. Now, two days before taking off my travel I found out that I will have to pay $55.00 for any luggage I check in. How can a travel agency book a package deal that includes flight, hotel, and guided tours for 5 long days and not tell you that all you can take with you is a carry-on travel bag? Just had our last night on board with Amsterdam to Budapest. Despite the low water hassles, I can't say enough regarding how well the situation has been handled by Gate One. It is in contrast to passengers I have personally spoken to from other companies. Thumbs up and a big thanks to gate One!
Just returned from my vacations in Europe, I did 8 day tour at Italy with Gate 1. it was the trip of my dreams. everything was perfect, our tour manager Patricia Pearce was amazing! This was my first trip with Gate 1 and I will do it again! The only thing that upset me was, that my package wasn't included the Coliseum in Rome and Gate 1 couldn't help me with the entrance tickets, which I had the whole day to do it, and there was no way to purchase the tickets directly from the Coliseum that day.
We had a fantastic trip through Italy with Gate 1. Our Guide Suzi- charming smart lady made it even more remarkable. Hoping to tour with Gate 1 again in the near future! Ciao!
