I've contacted gate 1 about my refund from vieling in September 22nd as I need to no about my refund they are rubbish

The worst company ever. I supposed to travel in April 2020 and my trip was canceled due to Covid 19. I am still waiting for my refund.

Beyond disappointed. We should have traveled in March 2020 and STILL waiting for ANY contact from this excuse of a company. I have sent countless emails and been unable to phone them, due to them switching off their phones. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Or if you do - beware that there is a good chance you won't get ANY contact from them. JOKE

I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!!! I was one of the last groups out before Covid hit. We got back March 4. I have been on 3 trips now with them, and I have loved every single one!!! The most recent was Argentina/Brazil, and our guide was awesome!!!! My first tour was to Ecuador and my guide Patricio Pato was amazing and we still keep in touch! The quality for what you get for the price you pay is what makes them so great
I booked a trip to Ireland for the end of March with 3 other friends. Gate 1 canceled the trip due to covid. My three friends received refunds including airfare. They refuse to refund my airline portion saying United took back the ticket and they owe me the refund. United said they can not issue a refund since Gate 1 purchased block tickets and sold it to me. United can not even see how much I paid for the ticket only the tax. Gate 1 will do nothing!
Beginning of this year I have booked a trip to Peru with Gate1travel for June of this year after Gate1travel had been highly recommended. Well, what can I tell you, with the Pandemic that nobody expected, the vacation including the flight was cancelled. I did get a refund for the vacation part, but I am still waiting on the refund for the airfare, which was the majority of the expense. My trip cancelled due to COVID. I got an email saying do nothing. I finally contacted Gate 1 to see what was happening and request an airfare refund. They said Iceland AIR retained a $400 cancellation fee. Since USDOT said airlines weren’t allowed to do that and Gate 1 insisted that is what happened I contacted USDOT. What really happened is Gate 1 cancelled my flight before the flight cancelled and before contacting me. They forfeited my full refund by doing this and now I can’t get a response. I purchased a trip for my daughter and me through Gate 1. They took care of the trip, the airfare and the excursions. We were to leave in November 2020 for Morocco, and Gate 1 canceled the tour in July. They only reimbursed us for the tour portion of the trip and we are out almost $1,300 in airfare. After several calls to Gate 1, they told us there is nothing they can do. They will NOT give us all of our money back. They have to wait to see if the airline cancels the trip.
