About this business

We are a brewpub. All of our beers are made right here and we also have a couple of popular 'macro' beers. Our kitchen is well known for its fresh food and use of fresh ingredients. We don't work very much with frozen and prepared foods. Our burgers and pizzas are the talk of the town and our dinner entrees are elegant and affordable. Lunch is a blast because we have lunch specials that change twice a week, and they are the best. We host live music Thursday through Saturday and have gained a reputation for the best music for... read more

Great beer! And good food. The staff did a great job seating our large group after our reservation was lost despite being very busy. Our group had just finished a 50 mile rail trail ride from Walpole, NH and we were THIRSTY!!

New menu doesn't offer many selections.. fortunately there are other great restaurants in the area

Business response:

Oh Brian! Really? I think our menu is too big! I don't know where to begin! If you leave out the 1/2 lb. Certified Angus Burgers and the house made brick oven pizza and the fresh spaghetti you still have huge pub food, lunch food and Italian and dinner entrees. Mac n cheese? We got it. Fish n chips? Yup. Chicken Lettuce Wraps? Say wha? Duck Duck Grilled Cheese. What you want Grilled Cheese. Veggie Burger. Chicken Parm made here not there! Homemade lasagna. Grilled farm chicken. Stuffed haddock. Grilled salmon. Teriyaki Steak... read more

Fabulous experience all the way around! Taylor was our server & she was knowledgeable and engaging. Everything we ordered was so crazy good that there just aren't words. Seriously. Make the drive, belly up and make your tummy happy!

I had some kind of teriyaki chicken lettuce wraps. . . so salty I couldn't eat it. Took it home and washed most of the teriyaki off and will add rice or pasta to break up the saltiness. . . sad thing is this isn't my first bad experience.

Business response:

Sorry Lynn. Don't know what went wrong. We sell those things like crazy. The soy sauce must have been a bit strong in that one. Anyhow, I'll take a look at the recipe and see if the soy should be stepped back a smidge. Cheers, Rick

Went for dinner last night and kind of felt funny right after dinner. Woke up at 4am with violent stomach pains which eventually led to me throwing up what was once a delicious prime rib dinner. Spent all day today in bed in pain with what appears to be food poisoning and had to call out of work because of it. Thanks Gardner Ale House!

Business response:

Hi Joe, we spoke to last night's staff and the chefs about this. We are looking to see if anyone else had this problem. So far, nobody has reported similar problems. But it's always important to make it known in case it has something to do with last night's service. Thanks for the help. Rick
