Second visit...just as good as the first..chicken parm...scallop salad...pizza...steak tip salad...add some lemon cake with a couple of flavored cheesecakes and don't forget the brew...all resulted in a delicious meal enjoyed by a party of six...coming back in December...
Great atmosphere, food was good although we didn't get to try the lunch special ( quiche, salad and bread). They were all out ( at 12:30).
Poor service. Ordered a cup of chili and waitress brought a bowl stating she made a mistake but still charged us for the bowl. Ordered a pasta dish that was a special, took almost an hour to receive. Pasta was under cooked and my plate was cold for some reason. The waitress had told me the "oven" was backed up. So why would my plate be cold? I asked for Parmesan cheese but never got any. My husband ordered a burger and it was dry. This was our first time there and I don't think we will be returning anytime soon.
Business response:
Hi Karen, that's no way to spend your first visit! Come on back. I'll private message you and set something up. You should have not been charged for that chili. My bad.
Ate there last night. The French Onion Soup was delicious and the Fish and Chips was excellent! Two good sized portions of fish cooked perfectly. I order the fish fried with the same batter that is used on the fish bites as I find the beer batter to be too heavy and bready- if that's a word! Anyway, another wonderful meal. Oh, and the beer was really good too! Keep up the good work! :)
6 family members had prime rib dinners. 4 of them were really good and 2 of them were really fatty! The service was great considering how busy they were! Going back but praying I don't get the fatty prime rib!
Business response:
That fatty prime rib is a problem! Thanks for pointing it out. We keep trying. Prime rib tends to be fatty and we handle it by trimming the fat and/or cutting the piece a bit bigger when it's got a bit too much fat. But we can always do better and we will continue to try. Cheers!
Food is excellent! When you dine there, you feel like family.
Lots of happy times in this little New England town for a guy from Texas. Love The Gardner Ale House.
Best place around Gardner excellent food and polite waitresses ,don't forget to ask Rick to put a Robby special on the menu.
