A passionIn the late 1920s Edward Gallrein Sr. started a dairy farm business in Jefferson County Ky. He started with only about 17 head and over many years it grew to over 400. His son William Gallrein Sr. continued the family tradition of dairy farming and in 1972 purchased a farm in Shelby County. The dairy business had grown to the point of milking cows around the clock! Wonderful plan to go back. Great supply of items. Very polite and worked through a power outage.
We had an amazing time. We picked out our own pumpkins from the patch and got a kick out of feeding the animals!
We had a great time petting the animals, especially the camel and one very loving but vocal donkey!
I come here annually with my daycare. My babies really enjoy the farm and love the animals not to mention finding their perfect pumpkins. Thank you so much for helping me make everlasting memories on these childrens lives.
Gallrein Farm has been a part of our life for almost twenty years! I started taking my daughter Wendy and son Andrew there when they were very small. We have some great photos in the pumpkin patch. It later became the perfect place for my daughter to work. What a wonderful family!! I am so thankful for them and still enjoy visiting their lunch spot, market, greenhouses, and Fall festivities.
