This formerly great paper is nothing but a USA Today/Gannett-owned liberal mouthpiece. It's very divisive, totally liberal & hardly covers any news or sports in the Galesburg area anymore.
I am so frustrated with the Register-Mail right now. I have called them six times and left several voicemails with no response. My mom’s subscription has gone up $10 a month and I can’t get ahold of anyone to explain this to me. They put out only 5 print editions a week but raise the price $10 a month. Don't subscribe Period . Over $300.00 a Year and you don't get All the papers that you pay for and customer service can't speak English
They never call back. Always mess up our delivery subscription. Do they have a local office anymore?
I placed an ad for my mothers 90th birthday announcement. it was supposed to run for 3 days beginning 11\18. Well it's day 2and we still have not see it. I have tried to reach out to the register mail by phone and email. I left voice mail twice and never received a call back. when you hit 0 for the operator you get hung up on. They had no problem charging my credit card yet we still have received what we paid for. My question is, are there any human beings working there????
This is a collaboration of weak and lazy investigative and communication practices. My expectations were never set high but I can no longer read another "article."
I think it is ridiculous to charge to read selected articles. Even if it is cheap. Get off Facbook or do the community a favor and just let them read the articles. otherwise people see half the story.
The register mail has done away with the local crime arrest. You would think Tom Martin and Jay Redfern would know this is the only reason people even pay for the paper anymore. Maybe its time for a editor change. You also keep wasting print space with the letter to the editor.
