I went in for my first appt. towards getting a crown put on one of my molars, that was cracked and had a huge deep filling. I was nervous it would take a long time and would be quite painful. To my surprise I was out of the office with no pain at all after 1 1/2 hours. Dr. Galera explained the whole thing to me and made sure I was completely numbed up before even working on the tooth at all. The single most important thing for me when receiving healthcare is that I am treated respectfully as a human being instead of a number. Dr. Galera is excellent! She is thorough, explains what is happening, and does a highly professional job on our teeth with little pain. Her staff is also friendly and helpful.
Dr. Galera saw my young son for a routine visit. My son gets anxious about having x-rays taken, as he had a poor experience at a previous dentist. Dr. Galera tuned into his nervousness and put him at ease,with gentle explanations of why the photos were important to his health, and how she could help adjust the 'bite wings' so that they wouldn't hurt him.
