Went for dinner and the place smelled horrible, it literally smelled like urine. Waiting for a table and the boys went to the gift shop... 2 minutes later they came back saying that they were kicked out. Sign on the gift shop says unattended children will be given and espresso and a free puppy... If you don't want unattended children in the gift shop just say so....dont be coy and rude about it. Left and went to Joe's...much better smell, variety and prices.
We had the tilefish and it was outstanding. Our waiter, Jason, was knowledgeable and took great care of us. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. We will be back on our next trip to Galveston!
My goodness the food and dessert was delicious here! I want to go back and already recommended it to others.
Good food great service. Grilled swordfish was perfectly cooked. Pecan balls for desert were a wonderful treat.
This Gaido's continues to live up to its wonderful reputation. Prompt and friendly service and a superb dinner. I had grilled salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Our family makes it down to Galveston about every two years and we never miss a dinner at Gaido's. Plus, compared to other seafood restaurants in Galveston, you get the best value for your money. Other places are over priced and not as good. Don't forget to order a bowl of gumbo. My highest recommendation.
Well it was my 50th birthday, the host gentleman was very rude to start, after 30 minutes of waiting because the system was down, not because the restaurant was busy it was slow, we finally got seated. My daughter had a ladybug in her Cesar salad, by the way worst salad ever. She ordered Fettuccini Alfredo, there was no Alfredo sauce, dry pasta. The waitress spilled water all over our table. Then the manager came and asked us how it was, I told him that he didn't want my opinion in front of other customers and he said catch ... read more
I had the Ribeye. It was delicious. Best flavor on a steak I had ever ate. And the service was awesome. Thank you Gaido's.
Great food & wonderful service. Had a late supper with good friends. The bacon wrapped shrimp were great. A friend had the ribeye, she said it was excellent.
106 years of awesomeness. This was the first time I have been there in about 50 years. Still great.
