These days I'm starting "my" Yoga Studio App, pretending that yesterday was a bad dream where I had no access to an app I once paid for. But the nightmare is true so I'm just saying: Bye bye for a lifetime Gaiam
Disgusting behaviour from this company with their Yoga Studio App - this is not the way to change to a subscription model - you should have left the existing app in the store and released a new subscription based version (with the extra features etc) Questionable ethics from a Yoga company, I certainly wouldn't buy or recommend any of their products.
Having been a long time supporter and promoter of this app I feel betrayed by the recent subscription that has been forced on customers who previously bought the app. Having now seen Apple's policies on this it's clear that this action is in breech. This company has very little integrity and their actions certainly call into question their ability to put good karma out into the world. Disgusting.
Paid for an app that is now requiring a subscription without warning. Adding a subscription fee without informing your customer or making any improvements to your product is deceitful and exploitative. Poor move, Gaiam, inc.
For this company, the profit comes first and the customers are secondary.
To tell the truth, I have loved and used this app for a long time. I have recommended it, as a personal trainer, to my clients. No more. The bungling of your Yoga Studio update is nothing short of appalling. How dare you charge loyal customers a subscription fee for content they have already purchased? If you want to offer enhanced features for a fee, that's great. I probably would have given you my money, gladly. But the way you handled this? Not only will I NOT be subscribing, I will not purchase other Gaiam products, nor ... read more
Regarding your update to the YogaStudio app: Shame on you. I paid full price for the app, which I loved. I paid for all the additional Earth Day content. Now - you change to a subscription service - and block us all out of our original content unless we pay AGAIN. I refuse. And as a company that espouses such "Love light harmony namaste" woo-woo ... way to be ironic!
Greedy decision that shows just how much you care about your clients. I will not be paying you one more cent and I'll be sure to let my friends know just how dishonest you people are.
"Yoga Studio App" used to be THE best Yoga app ever. I bought it twice, bought the "add ons" and recommended it to everyone, who was interested in learning yoga. There was absolutely nothing I could complain about. It was perfect. Then Gaiam bought it and changed the existing app to a subscription-based business model, which would have been fine with me. I would have subscribed for a voluntarily subscription service. But Gaiam took away the primary functionality we (existing users) have already paid for! We cannot use the ap... read more
