I had been experiencing some defects with my mat (used regularly for about a year), and after a short phone call and email exchange, there's a replacement on the way. I love all my Gaiam CD's. The trainers are great and experienced. They explain the positions completly and I feel great after every workout!
I loved my balance ball chair until the retaining bar snapped near the bolt. Now I have the same problem as other with the ball lurching forward if I lean forward. I'm emailing them today to see if the bar is back in stock.
I purchased a ball chair when my very expensive work chair started making my leg go numb after knee surgery. The ball has no pressure points, and has been much better support and no pain. I can't lay back and fall asleep during meetings either!
I'm a bit frustrated. Like many others, the bar on my ball chair broke and the stability just isn't there. We contacted Gaiam for a replacement part on December 7, 2016 and have been told continuously that it was on back order and would arrive in January. As of today, we requested another update and we're informed that it would be another 4-6 weeks. Now Gaiam is saying we can PAY to ship it back and they'll give me a credit? My experience has been somewhat bittersweet so far. I've loved my balance ball chair for the several months I've had it, but I have a similar issue to others: the retaining bar snapped at the bolt, and the ball mysteriously started deflating after months of no change. I hope it wasn't punctured. The worst part is that I have no idea how to replace the bar, and in the meantime, if I lean forward on it, the ball lurches forward and nearly falls out of the base.
