Good Food, Mediocre Service – The food is great, which is the only reason we (wife & I) keep coming back (50+ times). Try the lemon mahi mahi (my fav) or the Shwarma sandwich. The waitstaff and owner are sketchy and unattentive. The owner spends his time schmoozing the Middle Easterners that frequent his restaurant. The waitresses area bit of an enigma. Excellent Mediterranean Food! – Gaby's is a great place to visit if you are in the mood for Mediterranean food. The food is excellent. There are numerous choices from lamb kabob plates to lemon chicken. There is a nice outside dining area where people are allowed to smoke flavored tobacco, if they choose.
Great Food – The chicken kabob sanwiches are the BEST. The lemon chicken is SUPERB. The service could be better...I agree that the busboys give better service and are more attentive. I absolutely love the food and the ambiance. The food is worth the wait. Overall the experience was great!
Cheap Eats! – I LOVE GABY'S!!!! We go there about once a week because of the great food and best of all, it's cheap! There's something about the $5 Chicken Kabob sandwich that just... hits the spot. And it comes with a side of salad, fries or rice pilaf. The Lemon Mahi Mahi and Leon's Chicken Salad are really tasty, too. Oh, and extra garlic sauce, please!! Just don't go there expecting good service. They're nice people, but just extremely slow. But the $5 sandiches and $10 entrees are a definite crowd pleaser... and easy on... read more
Lebanese Joy – This place has a family vibe which means the food is amazing, but at times uneven. The lemon chicken is one of the best dishes in LA and the vegetarian delite is a delight to omnivores too. Gary's is a wonderful value. The host makes everyone feel like they are appreciated. The only drawback is the consistenly braindead Brazilian waitresses.
lemon mahi mahi – They open late, and they have good food. If you like something sour, you should try LEMON MAHIMAHI and LEON'S CHICKEN SALAD.
great food, open late – Love the food here, and it's open late. Don't be afraid to call the wait staff over if you need something -- if you don't, you're in for a long wait. I have often found that the busboy gives better service than the lazy waitresses. Good luck finding parking.
great food iffy service – The food here is wonderful and inexpensive. It's great to sit on the patio and smoke a hooka with friends but don't expect quick service. The girls can be seen at any time wandering around looking dazed. All and all though it's worth going.
Yummy – I love Gaby's... we go at least once a month with a group or just a couple of us... it's always delicious and very inexpensive. Highly recommended. Just don't park in the liquor store parking or you will get towed.
