Maria is a very educated,gifted multi talented Occupational Therapist !!!I learned of her from several people recommending her for my child.She also has great knowledge in other areas besides Occupational therapy.Thank God she is local and not in Ann Arbor,MI like so many well sought after therapist reside.
My daughter came to us from foster care. We didn't know how to help her. She was always repeating herself, touching & tasting everything, running into things, being physically aggressive even when she didn't realize it. After 90 days og OT & CRA she is a totally different child. Maria made her do her work before she could play & showed us activities we could do at home to "slow her engine down". Maria is amazing, patient, and knowledgeable. She has been able to pull out abilities in my son that make him more confident and functional.
Functional Kids has been a great help with working with my baby girl. I can say my daughter has had great results using the herbal oils, healing lights, and just great OT treatment. A lot of her problems that she was experiencing before coming to Functional Kids llc are no longer occurring. I honestly Thank God for Maria Dobbertien and her great treatment program. 5 stars hands down!!
SO wonderful with my kids and she picks up on the slightest cues, She is really in tune to the needs of every kid that I have seen her encounter.
The patience and attention to small detail by this woman is amazing. Maria is a very talented woman who loves her career. When you need superb patient care this is the therapeutic office to seek.
