I wish they had this place everywhere Back at home we only have Best Buy and I really wish we had Frys instead. This place has so much variety and is so much fun to walk through. I almost guarantee that you will find everything you need there. The only thing is you want to shop when there are sales. If not then it gets pricey. Also, there's a lot of sales associates walking around to answer your questions.
The Electronic Store I shop at This is the place I go if I need electronics or computer parts. They carry lots of stuff and its always fun to walk around and browse. Their prices are pretty decent. The only thing that I would say I didnt like about this place is trying to return something. It takes forever. But if you know what you're going to get or if you get the right parts, you dont have to worry about returning the items as much and dealing with the long wait.
For that hard to find item Frys is the store to go to find that one item that you cant seem to find anywhere. This store is huge and has everything electronics related, soldering tools, appliances, DVDs, you name it theyve got it. The prices of the small items here are way cheaper than those found at other stores, like Radio Shack, etc. The employees are knowledgeable about their department and are often very helpful. They have great sales to look forward to as well.
Horrible Service I bought a laptop at Fry's. I also bought the warranty on it and I took my laptop back to Fry's because the network card stopped working after 1 1/2 months. I waitied in the store a total of an hour. The phone rang multiple times and no one answered it. I was given a loaner laptop and it didn't work (it was infected with spyware and the date and time would not stay correct to name a few things). Everything Fry's is a great spot, this one is right off the 15 and is huge. They virtually have almost everything you need and want for home electircal devices like computers, cameras, game consoles, t.v.'s, etc. They have aisles and aisles of computer wires and cords and plugs and drives and software and everything. If you're looking for anything computer check out Fry's before the other guys.
Great for computers Virtually everything you could need in the way of electronics exists at Fry's. Prepare for an overloaded parking lot- I've never seen the store NOT looking like the holiday season-- and a vast werehouse where you can easily get lost. Their daily newspaper ads are handy and the items usually on display. They also carry appliances, but often those are not the best deals to be had in town-- it pays to shop around.
What's not to like This place used to be incredible universe. When they went under, Fry's took over and hey I can't complain. They offer great deals on all kind of electronics. They are really flexible on their return policy and even price match their competitors. The place is like costco in terms of size and has about everything you can ask for as far as electronics goes. Sometimes I just go there and read magazines...
The cream of the crop I was just here yesterday and I must say, theyve done a great job in the past few years for San Diegans. The combination of lots and lots of stuff, low prices, and numerous cashier lines (over 40!), make Frys one of the most painless shopping sprees you might have in your lifetime. The staff is awesome (although I did see an outburst from one worker once) and is there to help you all the time. Frys is probably my most favorite electronics store in town.
