Recommendedwonderful food friendly workers
Clam strip dinner is a really good portion and more moderately priced than lots of other seasonal places.
I really enjoyed the coleslaw and the thin fries, however, the whole belly clams were too chewy and doughy:(

We stopped in for lunch and got whole bell clams. FREAKIN AMAZING! Best I've had in the area.
I love this place when for Father’s Day . Had the lobster bisque and husband corn chowder foot long hotdogs with chili fry everything was great as it always . Staff was friendly and helpful

I have enjoyed Fred’s Shanty for many years however,today I was served under cooked scallops. Very disappointing. When I brought the food back to the counter they took the food that I had cut in half and bit into to put back into the fryer. Not sure how sanitary that is regardless I didn’t eat it. Waste of money and I was not offered an alternative or anything. Furthermore, a table next to ours was filled with 5 men smoking cigarettes.
