beware!danger ahead!!!!!!! – Never have I seen such incompetence, rudness and just plain stupidity and ignorance,in one work place. Hairstylists have know idea as to how to handle a pair of scissors once it's put in their hands. As far as how to cut ,I'm not sure they know the meanig of the word, because besides ordering you,to stand ! sit! which supposedly is some kind of high challant-upper-east-side-high-society technique, exclusively only,to the brilliant hairstylists of Frederic Fekkai. Unless you want to end up looking as... read more

Horrible color orange chunky and NOT what I asked for – Horrible experience getting color there! DO NOT GO... the man who did my color did not listen to what I asked for... I even brought photos of myself from before when I had the color I wanted and still he did what he wanted and it looks worse than when I walked in. I have photos to prove it. When I complained, he argued with me for 10 minutes saying he wouldn't do what I wanted... WHY didn't he tell me this in the 10 minuteswe sent BEFORE looking at my photos ?!?!?! I am... read more

Brassy and Orange at The Mark – Color: If you want to pay many hundreds of dollars ($450before tip if I remember correctly) for orangey brassy hair, this is the place for you. I honestly don't understand what the disconnect is there. I'm not going to call out the name of the colorist - but I went more than once to their highest priced colorist with brassy brassy results. As someone below mentioned it will be blamed on your hair color. Somehow amazingly my new colorist is able to give me the non-brassy highlights I want - mus... read more

I love Jeffrey and Hana! – I was a first time customer and traveled 4 hours to get to the salon. Totally worth the trip! First Jeffrey gave me a gloss treatment. Then Hana cut my hair. In the past, everyone cuts too much length and I've been very unhappy with so many stylists. Not Hana! She gave me a great haircut while keeping my length. Also a great blowdry that has lasted half a week and looks like it will last another week! It was expensive, but in the past I've paid less and was so unhappy. Also, the pampering feeling a... read more

Awful Experience – The new location at Mark Hotel created a disaster for me. I got my appointment with Tammy who is supposedly the director and a senior colorist! I got highlights done and after four hours and four time processing as she blamed it on my hair color which is dark brown, I ended up with rusty red highlights with brassy shadows within my brown hair! The worst part was she kept blaming my hair type which was a virgin dark brown color. She refused to correct my hair disaster and I missed an important event and eve... read more

horrible, overpriced salon – Review of The Mark Frederic Fekkai: This place is a factory with no quality control. In short, they highlight you every six weeks rather than just color the regrowth the way other salons do. Color technique is old fashioned and damaging!!! I had been going to the salon for some time and got good, but not great, results. I continued to go because I liked my hair dresser and thought she was being honest when she told me that she was "working towards" the color I wanted. I thought we had a good, hon... read more

The best hair salon. - Amazing hairstylist 'Seiji Kitazato' – I've been to Vidal Sassoon, Oscar blandi, bumble & bumble.. almost every good hair salons in nyc. I must say that Frederik Fekkai is the best. Today was my first time. Creative director Seiji Kitazato cut my hair and he was just amazing. No matter what salons I went to, I always could find something bothered me. Seiji knew what I really wanted after we had a few min conversation. This friendly hairstylist Seiji is the most talented hairstylist I ever met. My hair ... read more

Great cut, color, blowouts, manis, and pedis – I have been going to the salon on Fifth Avenue regularly for about two years now. My hair looks fantastic! Every senior stylist has given me incredible haircuts. Georges does my color, and he is a genius. When I first went to him, my hair was just recovering from a bad colorist at another Fifth Avenue salon -- she had literally fried my hair, and a whole section had fallen out as a result. Once the hair grew back in, after much care and pampering from Fekkai's stylists, Georges ... read more

Overpriced, Overrated! – For what you get, this Salon is over-rated. The stylists are ok. The first time I went to Brandon, I was somewhat satisfied but each time thereafter it has been a disappointment. They only know how to give one cut on long hair. The pretentious and abnoxious attitudes becomes a real turnoff after the first visit. The sylists are always running late and aren't very personable. And if I'm paying $160 for a haircut, I do expect not to be charged $5 for a perrier! On top of that the stylist doesn't even b... read more
