This is the BEST Pastry Shoppe I have been too! Not only are the pastries out of this worl, but the owner is so friendly with EVERYONE! NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE! Everytime I go there, I feel like one of the family! He makes everyone feel so welcomed, that I would even consider going elsewhere. Everything I have bought there, has been the best that I ever had from anywhere else. His products are sooo good! Especially his danishes. Made from Scratch, and so fluffy and airy!! RACIST SHOPPE – I was a long time customer of Fran's. Earlier this week however I has my first encounter with Larry, a baker at Fran's Shoppe. Larry takes bad customer service to a whole new level. Not only did he insult me but he told me that I was too black to come into Fran's anymore. He said "we don't serve Ni$%ers around here". He told me to go back to Bridgeport. I WILL NEVER GO TO FRANS EVER AGAIN! They should be shut down for this comment!
WORST BAKERY EVER STALE & ROTTEN FOOD – I decided to stop by this shop thinking it might be better than my other local bakery & boy was I shocked. The girl at the counter was nice but didn't know what babka was or brioche. So I asked for italian bread which wasn't in a plastic bag was just thrown into a paper bag & was hard as a brick & when I got home I saw that it had the texture & consistency of being toasted totally inedible, probably stale from other reviews i read.
