Franklin House This historic old building in Schaefferstown just calls to you, "come on in!" In this wonderful atmosphere you will find all kinds of tempting dishes...I recommend the Shrimp Cosmopolitan...it's delicious!
RecommendedIt’s an hour from home and this was our first time here. What a quaint old venue. The service was great! Strip steak and fries were perfect! Blue crab ravioli in alfredo sauce to DIE for!
Stopped for a late lunch on our way home from Middle Creek Management Area. The tavern is so cool! Food, drinks, and service were excellent! I had pecan crusted salmon and my wife had a crab cake salad. Both were amazing. We will definitely be back!

The food was good very good, good waitress’s The Tavern would be very clean and nice people and I really had a great time eating there at the bar. I can’t wait to try it out again the ride was great coming from New Jersey it was gone 1Hr 32 minutes.
My wife and I just had amazing burgers and beer ! They have a great quality beer selection and the burgers were large and packed with flavor! I highly recommend you check them out !

This was my first time here. I have always wanted to visit. my expectations were high. we had a larger party so that added another obstacle in addition to the whole pandemic thing. that being said, the staff at Franklin House exceeded our expectations! everything was delicious and the server was very friendly. I had the chicken marsala and asked for extra sauce. it was no problem and everything was amazing!!! We will he back!!!!
