RecommendedThere are not too many places where the building is older than the country where it sits. The Franklin House Tavern is such a place which dates back to the 1740s and it continues a tradition of great food and atmosphere.
had a great dinner today, first time ever at the Tavern best part besides the great service, and the great food was I had a personal tour of the Franklin Tavern house, I love the old buildings and and their history,thank you so much Jen oliviero I really enjoyed the tour and the food, I definitely will be coming back for the mystery dinner. taking random pictures looking for ghosts LOL
I enjoyed the crab cake salad with poppyseed dressing.
Poor customer service!! After waiting twenty minutes no service as other tables were being served we finally got up and left. We even had reservations!!!

I had the Prime Rib, it was amazing!
Even though I wasn’t that hungry, I ate a delicious steak meal, and the dessert was so good I ordered a second one. Absolutely, my favorite place to go. Best atmosphere, the people working are in good spirit, It’s conveniently close to my shopping at Bebe’s and Hornings.

I have Celiac disease and was there for an event with a set menu. I asked my waitress if she could find out if any of the options were gluten free and with out hesitation or acting like this was an inconvenience( like most people/places do)she simply said sure no problem. When she came back to my table she explained the options on the menu for the event were not but the chef would give me two options that were!!! How amazing it that!!!
