I have been trying to refinance my auto loan to get away from this bank. They are terrible. They are super slow to process payments and their employees are incompetent. I will NEVER bank with them again. I sent in a check back on May 27th and they still can't tell me if they have received it and told me I would have to wait 21 days as a hold on it until it clears the bank. I have been given the wrong information about 5 times today alone. I need to add my wife to my account, so I went to the branch. They told me I can do that online or make an appointment online. You cannot add someone to your account online I found out and I did make an appointment online. When I went to the branch they told me they did not have my appointment confirmed and their appointment system is different than the one online. If I could give 0 stars, I would do so. Avoid working with them at all costs. 3 WEEKS AGO my identity was stolen and a fraudulent account was set up through Citizens Bank using my information. I immediately alerted Citizens Bank and was given a case number and an employee dedicated to my case. 3 weeks later, I still have NONE of the issues resolved -- the account is still open and not restricted from use. I recently tried to refinance my student loans through Citizen's Bank after getting numerous pre-approval letters in the mail as well as being recommended them via multiple websites. After uploading all required information and agreeing to a "hard" credit check, today I learned my request had been denied "Provided documentation did not meet program requirements." I recently made an ATM deposit in the amount of $480. The ATM machine malfunctioned and told me I needed to call my financial institution. I pulled over immediately and called. I was told my call would be expedited and to call back if my money was not there the next day. I call the next day and the woman tells me this time that it can take 7-10 business days. The customer service at this bank is beyond horrendous. I have tried for over two weeks to get a simple payment history on my mortgage (which is in 100% good standing). I have gotten the run around from multiple people about how to have a simple document emailed or mailed to me with tons of excuses, non of which make sense. If I could give zero stars I would. Reprehensible credit card company/bank. I have been a customer since 1992. I've been fortunate not to have to use any credit cards for awhile so therefore haven't charged anything.
