After many years of coming here, this was by far our worst experience. After being seated we were the big discussion about who was willing to serve our table between to young servers. After no service for about 10 minutes one of the young men came over and stated he GUESSES he will be our server. He takes our drink order and off he goes. Another server that we had not previously seen came with our drinks and told us he will now be our server. The rooms were nice, kids loved the beach & pool. But the restaurants were absolutely awful. Zero management. First night waited over an hour to be seated after they told us 45 minutes, then waited almost an hour for food with no drinks and no word from server. Next morning tried to get breakfast at buffet, had to go in kitchen ourselves to get plates and silverware, hardly any food, no service at table, got my own coffee from wait stand & walked out without paying. I have been reading past reviews and I honestly do not know where these people are coming from. I have been here several times in the last 3 years and continue to come back every year. It is really hard to please some people. I give all staff cudos for the hard work they do in trying to please everyone. I am sure they are never told Thank You enough only complained to. So to the staff at Fourwinds I am saying a big THANK YOU.

Waited an hour and a half...bartender yelled at me on the way out because I warned the other customers.
Had a slip here..no dock maintenance was addressed, roof was coming apart on the overhead coverage. No dock cleats to tie down. They make you buy a dock box or you can't have one. If you actually go boating and don't feel like tapping dicks at the dock all day, well this isn't the place for you.
We have a boat in a slip here. Today we enjoyed Valentines in a room. The room is very nice. The bed is comfortable and view is great. Breakfast buffet is very good. Home away from home.
My daughter made the mistake of putting a deposit down for a wedding reception here. The wedding planner never returned her calls after the initial meeting, no planning took place, and my daughter had to postpone the wedding and let the reserved space go! She received only a tiny refund after months of trying to get some satisfaction! This was a deeply disappointing experience. Our family was looking forward to a lovely ceremony in our favorite place in Indiana.
