I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! ALL I EXPECTED AND MORE PEACEFUL AND RELAXING
I did not stay there. I went for lunch. The place is tired and OLD and in need of a remodel. Lunch was typical. Blah. The margaritas wasn't bad :) Later in the day, my daughter realised she was overcharged.
What a terrible hotel, this place claims to be a resort? It's terribly managed, you take away the Marina and the money that comes with it, the beautiful lake and state park and this place wouldn't last a month. Lots of "travel" websites with fair reviews but if you just look at the last 12 months it rating is below a 3 on average. Read up if you like, but i draw the line on being lied to. Check in was at 4 pm, it's after 6:15 and we still have no room! Completely ruined our evening if not our whole stay! 1st time staying here and I can pretty much guarantee we will never be back. 20 other families in the lobby in the same situation. An employee told us they've been through this the last 3 wknds ,poorly managed at best! $15 in drink tickets doesn't cut it.
We stayed with 3 other families on the 3rd and the 4th of July. I'm not sure where to start other than totally disappointed! We found trash in our closet from another guest, a phone case under a bed while making sure we had all of our belongings, also food and God only knows what else was under there. They put new towels in our bed the next day but never took the old ones , or did they take our trash.... They didn't even run a sweeper on the floor. To be truthful I have had a much more enjoyable time at a $49 a night hotel. ... read more
I went for the first time last year had such a great time is was so peaceful an nice staff was great the nights were perfect will b back in august2015
