My severely disabled teenage son entered with severe pneumonia and was treated for 26 days in PICU. He had many serous treatments and was treated with exceptional kindness and consideration. The doctors, nurses and staff were amazing. And I spent most of every day and many nights on the unit. I asked hundreds of questions and was given consideration and attention for each one. I had such a bad experience. As I was receiving an IV the nurse has already messed up and she continued to dig my vein. I think she poked a nerve or something because my hand felt like something electrical hit it. She finally took out the needle and tried it a second time and guess what she messed up again!! I am already in tears by now. My original nurse came in and she also messed up but she at least didn't dig my vein like the previous nurse. I finally had it and pointed out to her which vein to use. I had a spinal fusion done here 2 years ago ( Sept 2014) Great staff and very caring ...I've had two separate procedures ( CT MYELOGRAM (Sept 28) and blood patch (10/3), and every time they went out of their way to help and get to me as quickly as possible . Nurses deal with a LOT on a day to day basis and still go home to deal with family or kids afterwards , so try to just give them a bit more respect and appreciation when you know they are trying . I have been going through breast cancer treatment for the past year so I have spent many hours in this hospital and at the Fountain Valley Medical Center in general.. All of the staff, doctors, nurses and even the receptionist have been nothing but professional and very nice to me every time I've gone into any office in the entire medical center. Thanks everyone for taking good care of me.

We had a wonderful experience with my daughter having surgery. Everyone was nice and informative. They spoke directly to us and was very attentive.
Let me tell you what a wonderful experience I had at the Fountain Valley Regional Hospital when I had my surgery yesterday.. The nurses were wonderful Vivian and Sandra and everyone else I came into contact with the anesthesiologist and my Doctor Le. I can't say enough how everyone took care of me made me feel safe comfortable and the nurses were really really funny and I love how it made me at ease.
