I just wish I could eat more. Everything was so good! Even though we went just to try the beignets, we were so glad we decided to have dinner also. The service was the best. Out server, Mark, was absolutely perfect. I think he may be a mind reader �. I don’t live here, but my daughter does. It’s her new favorite place. And I’ll be back when I can.
Always a must when in DC. Always highest quality delicious food and drinks. Make reservations!
Ordered the chicken and waffles! It came with delicious Mac and cheese and string beans. String beans were a little salty but okay. The chicken was awesome and the waffles were light and crispy! Perfection! I had an El President cocktail and that was a delight. My friends shrimp and grits were so gooood! Definitely not any ordinary, bland shrimp and grits! These had delightful flavors! Can't wait to come back again and try the other menu options!!!
The food was exceptional! I had the Chicken Fried Steak and it tasted exactly like my moms (huge compliment), the mac and cheese and green beans were also delicious! Honestly the only reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars is that my daughter had hyped the Jefferson Donut to me for the past couple months and I was disappointed that it wasn’t available at your location!
Had the fresh catch Meunière. The rock fish was supple and buttery, nice flake, crisped on the bottom, moist throughout. It was accompanied by broccoli and mashed baby reds. As an avid organic gardener I know the difference between just picked broccoli and supermarket stuff, the fresh picked is sweet and tender and this was. Simple mashed baby reds went perfectly. Nothing overdone, simple, well prepared fresh ingredients added up to a wonderful meal.
The Chicken n’ Waffles were awesome! We make a point of dining here every time we’re in DC! The service is amazing �
Skillet Corn Bread & fillet of Swordfish was excellent & a great finish with the fresh blackberry sorbet. Really good service made it lots of fun! Must have Reservations!
My friend and I both ordered the chicken and waffles. It was AMAZING!!! Hands down our best meal while in DC!! Totally worth the wait!
Great, fresh, hot, well prepared food. Huge selection. Pretty good service despite the restaurant being so busy. Food came out quickly. A bit loud for comfortable conversation with a larger party. Recommend the chicken pot pie. The chocolate mousse was good but honestly 4-6 people can share it.
