Was referred to the ER after going to urgent care for severe poison ivy reaction. Nurse was great and friendly, but the doctor…. I felt like I was SUCH a bother to her with the small eye rolls and the way she “answered” our questions. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hospital setting. They admitted me but my admission was unneccessary. We had one the NP gave a heart felt apology. She said this should have never happened.
My husband was taken to Fort Sanders because of seizures. The neurological team who evaluated him said his MRI showed no tumors and he hadn't had a stroke. Pointing to the image on the MRI I said so when you see that how do you treat it. Their response was we typically don't see that. He was also in excruciating pain in his back that we continued to ask help with. Which they left untreated. They discharged him saying he could go back to work in a week and here is a follow up appointment in 7 weeks. His back had been ... read more

It's taken me months to finally have the emotional fortitude to write this review. In a nutshell, Fort Sanders helped to put my younger brother in an early grave. My brother, like millions of others suffered from depression that lead to alcohol abuse. Combined with the anti depressants he had been on, his body reacted badly. When he was taken to the emergency room following a fall, we were told that his liver was failing.
