#Repost @rehabonpointe Progression of eccentric abdominal contraction exercises for a professional dancer who strained his abdominal muscle lifting. The first frame is a simple extension controlled by abdominal contraction, the second increases the strain by adding the hip extension and the 3rd increases it even further with adding side bending and rotation. Lifting injuries are very common for male dancers and emphasize the need for core strengthening. #GetYourMoveBack #WeAreFoothills #physicaltherapy #pt #az #abs #getpt1st

#InstagramRepost @middkiffsportspt Can BFR used before surgery set up patients for success after surgery? Sargi’s study on pre-operative ischemic pre-conditioning says , “Yes.” When compared to groups that did 5 sessions of exercise with no BFR or sham-BFR, the BFR group showed normal Quadriceps endurance at 4 weeks post-op while the other 2 groups took 12 weeks to get back to pre-operative levels of Quadriceps endurance. #GetYourMoveBack #WeAreFoothills #choosept #bfr #physical #therapy #az

Try out these push up variations. These exercises can help to alter hand, foot, and surface positions to change muscle stresses and to get a quick strengthening workout in with minimal equipment. #WeAreFoothills #GetYourMoveBack #physicaltherapy #Repost @middkiffsportspt

We've formed a team because this cause is important to us. Walking and raising money in our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is the best way we can do that. We all have different reasons for participating but we share a determination to help save lives from breast cancer. Restricted Blood Flow therapy can help to decrease joint pain. Schedule your free assessment to see how BFR can work for you! https://bit.ly/2F2wfKp #GetYourMoveBack #WeAreFoothills #bfr #physicaltherapy #pt #Repost #mmidkiffpt BFR has many uses and one of them appears to be decreased joint pain. Tested on mostly anterior knee pain or knee arthritis, BFR coupled with low load exercise is shown to at least produce a short-term analgesic affect.
