Just spent 4 beautiful days at Fontana Village Resort. We stayed in a cabin that was very beautiful. We will definitely be coming back again and hopefully more often.
This has been a staple in our family since my mother in law was a toddler. We love our visits every year and we look forward disconnecting from the world and focusing on family, hiking, lake activities, pool, ice cream, putt putt, hiking on and on and on. Fontana is rustic. It is not meant to be the Ritz. We will look forward to our visits for as long as Fontana is there. We are heading there for a weekend for our first Lodge stay and will be there for a week in June through membership.
Stayed there this weekend and it was wonderful!! Very clean and homelike. The food and service were amazing! My husband and I play disc golf and this is a GREAT coarse! Can not wait to go back this summer and take the kids!!
I loved the cabin, the fireplace, and all the hiking trails. This was my second stay here in a cabin and I will return again. Also, the restaurant is delicious!
Loved it people nice 2bd room big. fire place very cozy. Will stay again.
The room smelled moldy. They even had an auto air freshener in it to try to mask it, which made it worst. The food was greasy and bad. They didn't have clubs to play Put Put golf. Our TV remote did not work and then they replaced it with one that had the batteries taped on the back. The place is old, broke down and not worth the money. We will never go there again. OH and the pool was closed.
I love Fontana Village Resort...it is a best kept secret.The grounds cover miles. The lodge is great and the huge fireplace is my favorite spot to hang in the wintertime. We come up for the ICYCLE Mountain bike downhill race each year. It is a great event and so is the staff. If you want to unplug from society and soak in the beauty of the mountains. ..this Is the place to go. The Appalachian Trail is right on the grounds.
My family and I have loved it so far! Great family environment in a beautiful setting!
Enjoyed all there was to do at the resort. The lazy river was relaxing after biking and hiking. Loved the pizza at the Wildwood Grill (had that 2 nights). Great breakfast at the Mountainview Restaurant. Would stay again in the future.
