Overpriced, overrated, small portions, very limited menu and the flavor and quality of the food is simply average. I guess you pay for the ambiance. I tried it and won't be back.

Nice place but definitely over priced food. Had better Mexican food for much much less. The quality of the food is not worth the ridiculous pricing. Not enough parking space.
Fonda San Miguel is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. The food is consistently outstanding whether you're coming for dinner or Sunday brunch. The hostesses and wait staff have been in place for many years and are exceptionally attentive. The atmosphere is Austin eclectic and full of personality. My family has been coming to San Miguel's to celebrate or just have a nice dinner since 1976. Expect that that trend will continue for a long, long time to come.
