Prefect little place to go gem mining. The people that worked there was nothing but helpful and friendly. We got the smallest bucket and it lasted about an hour between two people and got a ton of gems. Definitely will be back when we visit Boone again. �
Our vacation was spent in Boone so we decided to try Foggy Mountain Gem Mine. Such nice guys who work there. Very knowledgeable and willing to help us any way they could. Military Discount was a plus! Our whole family enjoyed the experience of gem mining. Thank you Bailey for everything you did for us!! Definitely a must do while in Boone.
Our little boy had such a great time searching for his “treasures” the staff was super nice and very helpful. At the end of our bucket they were so nice to go over all the stones we had found and show us what they look like polished. Fun rainy day in the mountains adventure!

Had a wonderful time. The staff are so nice, funny, and knowledgeable. What they offer for sale are beautiful and reasonably priced. Hoping to make a second stop before we head home.
This is by far the best place to go for gemstones! Believe me, we have been to just about every gemstone mine in the area, and this one far outshines them all. Everyone we encountered working there was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, but Caleb is AWESOME.
We have visited multiple times and each time have been extremely pleased. They do an awesome job explaining all the gems you find too!
